What service is this?

In Dec 2025 it came to my attention that i owed R2,685.95 for Blood Tests done on my Oncology treatment. Upon investigation it was found that the authorisation code had expired. The Oncologist sorted this out and I phoned Lancet on 8 December asking for these claims to be resubmitted which Lancet were going to attend to. In Jan i phoned lancet again to find out what happened. I was told they were going to resubmit and I must pay the money. My initial reaction was to tell them like i had to wait 6 weeks for my query they could do the same. I then went for another test in preparation for my Stem Cell transplant and this test cost R11,000 . I then got a letter of demand for R13,000 without even sending this to my Medical Aid where we have approval for the Transplant and tests. I eventually decided that I would Pay the R2686 on the 18th and resubmit the claim to the Medical Aid myself and I made it clear to my Dr that all my remaining test must be done with Ampath.

My advice to all is rather use Ampath
