WARNING: Newly created account per blood test taken...

I have been getting calls from debt collectors on behalf of Lancet Laboratories. Firstly, I am quite surprised by their action they have taken against me, especially after I have paid the account. I have corresponded with this debt collector(s) and Lancet Laboratories and have been assured me that the matter has been resolved (after sending my “proof of payment”).

A Month later, I have been getting the same calls stating that I must pay my outstanding account, which they supp**** me an account number. I have noticed that the account number given is not corresponding with the statement and account number I have received from Lancet Laboratories for payment (which has already been made).

After much confronting correspondence and headaches, I have noticed that Lancet Laboratories creates a new “account” for the same individual each time he/she goes for blood tests. Why they follow or implement such a system is beyond me?

I would have appreciated it if they informed me of the above mentioned. Especially before handing me over to the debt collectors and trying to default me over R65-00…which I would happily pay, it’s less than my pack of sweets I buy daily…..guess I need to get some more tests done, come to think of it probably for my blood sugar content…

Dear Mr Swanepoel
Further to our telecom, we sincerely apologise for the manner in which we have handled your accounts and regret the hand-over to an external Collections agency without prior notification.
