I visited my network Gynecologist who sent my blood test to LANCET, few days later I get emails from Lancet stating that I owe R455 which was not covered by medical aid. I asked them to charge me cash rates on the tests that were not covered by my medical which is fair since I have to settle the difference but instead a consultant tells me that I have to pay medical aid rate prices because the claim was "rejected" by my medical aid. This is a total ******* I am not a medical aid scheme why must I pay medical aid rates with cash?
