Unfair rates

I went to Lancet for blood tests in July 2017. Before the test i asked them if i get a better rate if i pay cash. The lady explained that they had medical aid rates, doctor rates and private rates (Walk in). She could not confirm the rates but said it should be cheaper than doctors or medical aid rates as they have to wait for their money, but seeing that i just got a nice cash discount at the radiology department, i assumed that private cash rates would work the same at this department.

I still do not understand how the lady could not confirm the different rates, they work with payments every single day. The radiology department could give me the different rates immediately

I opted for the private cash rate and did my tests and paid.

Upon submitting the claim to Discovery they did not refund all the money as Lancet charged me well above medical aid rates for the service.

I was under the impression that cash payers gets a better rate than medical aids.

I communicated with them but had no response up to date. They said they will take it up with accounts but did not bother to respond or give me feedback I even suggested that they refund me and submit to my medical aid.
