Trying to double bill for a test and refusing to correct the problem
In early March my girlfriend and I did some blood tests via a doctor's office that were handled by Lancet. We paid cash in advance for the tests at the doctor's office, where they took blood. A day or two later we received a call from the doctor's office saying the bloods had to be re-drawn as there had been a problem with the bloods (not caused by us). They told us we only simply had to draw blood again, we wouldn't have to pay again as we already paid for all the tests, cash in advance at the doctor. So we went into Lancet Arun Place Somerset West, re-did the blood.
A while later we both started receiving messages saying we owe money for the tests. The tests we already paid for, cash in advance. And according to the doctor's office, they agree, we already paid for these tests and should not have to pay again.
When I phoned Lancet's call center about the money they claimed I owed they admitted the problem was their side and cleared my "debt" off the system around 13 March. But they continue to HARASS my girlfriend and send messages saying she owes them money. How can this be? That is inconsistent.
The doctor's office said they would sort it out with Lancet for us, but Lancet have done nothing and refuse to correct the error, in spite of both the doctor and us following this up multiple times. They want us to pay twice for the same test, when the problem with the bloods had nothing to do with us.
Now they say they're handing my girlfriend over the debt collection.
This is pure *****ery.
