Threatened with legal action without being told what I am paying for

Received a letter in the mail threatening to hand me over for an unpaid account. I have to date not received a detailed invoice outlining how the amount was arrived at, despite repeated requests. Received a phone call from ITC demanding payment. Requested a detailed breakdown of the amount outstanding from them also. To date no breakdown has been received
