Threatened with ITC Listing

It appears Lancet is all about PR and does not work to resolve customer queries. I got an email from Gabriel Munsami on 9 June and responded to him on same day and have not received response since then. Mr Munsami, kindly respond since I have now posted my response to you on the site. I am now receiving threats of judgement.

Dear Gabriel,

My concern is exactly that I requested the tests not to be done, in presence of the lady from your laboratory, after I requested the doctor to advise which of the 2 tests she would prefer, as I indicated I could not afford to pay for the 2 tests. Your employee therefore went against my instructions and proceeded to run the tests anyway and I have been explaining the same thing since then.

I am sure the hospital has CCTV footage that can show this conversation, because the nurses were even assisting me to make calls to establish the costs of the two tests. The lady from your lady was present when all this was happening.
Hello Moseketsi,

Dear Ms Mpeta

We have finalised or investigations and, in conjunction with Dr Iwunzi and our Lab Management, we confirm the following:

o The tests were requested by Dr Iwunzi and done in good faith
o Dr Iwunzi does not have any records to confirm that you had refused the blood tests on your child (Dr Iwunzi does not have a RHC (Refusal of Consent to hospital treatment recorded)
o The signed Laboratory form bears testimony to your acceptance of the Tests and costs pertaining to them

However, as a gesture of goodwill, we will meet you halfway on the costs of the tests so we are prepared to write off an amount of R388.35. You will be liable to pay the amount of R388.35 to us.

Kindly confirm date of payment so we can close this enquiry.

Kind regards
GM
