THREATENED WITH ITC first Time

I received a call from Lancet for the first time last week saying I had R360 overdue for bloods done during birth of my child, which is exactly a year ago. I had bloods done to confirm pregnancy in Dec 2013 and when there was balance due I was e-mailed statement and called to settle which I did. This time around I was not aware I had this outstanding bill because no calls or e-mails were received ( they say they posted the statements) and exactly a year later I get threatened with ITC listing when no one ever called or e-mailed me statement. Your collections process needs to be reviewed, it worked very well when you get your statements e-mailed and get a reminder call, but for people to remain mum for a whole year and claim they posted statements is ridiculous especially since credit records are concerned!!
