Pathetic

Hi my daughter was admitted into hospital in January this year and thanks to Lancet she is still undiagnosed and suffer immense pain daily but even after numerous calls this doesnt seem to phase your staff. The doctor requested genetic testing and I know its out sourced to a government lab in blomfontein I was intially told it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the results. I waited and followed up in March. I was told they were further delays as they needed a motivational letter from the doctor, and I would have results by the end of April or 1st week in May. I waited whilst my child suffers. I follow up 1st week in May and Im told there is now a backlog and results will only be ready at the end of May or 1st week of June! How can you keep us waiting for months on end while a child suffers. Do any of you have a conscience. The test costed thousands and your fees have been paid but now you string us along forever. I have been liasing with Nish from the Etekwini branch and he has provided nothing but excuses while my child suffers. I need results and I need them yesterday! I will not stop here Lancet I plan on taking this further. Should I not get a response I will be seeking legal advice and reporting this to the Health professionals counsel ombudsman.
