Outstanding Service from Juanita Wiffen and team at Pinelands Lancet Covid-19 Testing Centre

I would like to thank Sister Juanita Wiffen and her team at the Pinelands Lancet Covid-19 Testing Station for their outstanding service and professionalism yesterday (Friday 12 June 2020). I arrived at the entrance to the parking lot at the testing station at 15h54, and the guards at the gate informed me that the testing station had a long queue of patients waiting, and since they officially close at 16h00, and testing each patient is a time-consuming process, the nurses at the testing station were not allowing any new patients in for the day and we must return on Monday. I had phoned the testing station 3 times during the day, and had travelled from Sea Point to collect my friend/domestic worker in Claremont and take her to the private pathology lab in Pinelands. I begged and pleaded with the guards, but their answer was a definite "no". I am working on Monday and unable to take my friend for testing then. I was desperate and phoned the testing station from the guard's gate. The admin lady confirmed that no new patients could be admitted as they still had a backlog. I asked to speak to the Manager, who turned out to be Juanita Wiffen, and explained my situation to her. Despite her and her team having been frantically busy the entire day, she very kindly agreed to let us in and conveyed her decision to the guards. I just want to say a very sincere thank you to everyone at the Lancet Pinelands Covid-19 testing station for their amazing dedication and service they are offering the community. The testing station was clean, organised and efficient, with all the necessary safety precautions being strictly adhered to. Thank you so much Juanita and all your team at Pinelands today.
