Lying Laboratory regarding PCT Tests
My husband went to Lancet in Heidelberg and I went to Lancet in Standerton to test for pcr tests for travelling out of the country. Both these Lancets told us the same thing. That our medical aid will not pay for our pcr tests if we are travelling. We told them that we had called our medical aid before coming to Lancet and that last year December we did the pcr test when we were travelling out of the country and our medical aid paid them. They made us pay R850 each. Mind you we had gone to the doctor before going to Lancet...because that is what our medical aid instructed us to do. I wish Bonitas can just partner up with other laboratories where they can send their member. Lancet is a company full of *****. Below is an email we receive from our medical: Additional COVID-19 benefit for our International Travel Benefit We wanted to ensure that you are covered should you need to travel and noted that testing and enforced quarantine could be expensive. The Scheme is therefore offering a COVID-19 PCR test pre- and post-travel as well as a contribution of up to R1 000 a day should quarantine be required.
