Lancets incompetence with medical aid dealings leads to debt collection
Our twins were born over a year ago when we first had to deal with Lancets incompetence. Lancet had failed to add any of our children's names to a medical aid claim when they were first born, and so the claims were rejected. When we called our medical aid to clarify, they mentioned that all Lancet needed to do was add our babies names, and resubmit. I kept calling In Jan and Feb, a month after our twins were born telling Lancet to do this. The In June Lancet handed us over to the debt collectors- I called again, explaining the medical aid will approve it, if they can only submit it properly.
In June they actually apologized and said it was due to there incompetence that this had not happened despite me reminding them and told me they would resolve it.
Our twins are now 13 months old, and we are now getting threatening smss and calls from SCS for debt collection.
Lancet, please wake up and actually take responsibility- all you need to do is submit a form. and if you wont do it, admit that- dont make your incompetence the clients problem by just handing them over.
