Lancet staff uncaring attitude

My husband tested positive for Covid and had to have a second lot of bloods done as his stats were very low and he is in a bad state. We came to Lancet in Lorne Street ( nos Ismail C Meer) in Durban to have myself, my kids and parents tested at the same time. The nurse informed us that she can only do bloods at this room and we would have to follow the queue next door either walking or by car to have the tests done. She did my test in the same room as the bloods were done as my husband's condition is not good. My kids are 10 and 12 years old. I cannot leave them here, go leave my husband home alone in his condition and come back or do anything else other than still wait until the others have had the tests done, especially since we all came together from one house. We had no choice but to wait, still waiting going 2.5 hours now while my husband in hismiserable condition is trying to manage on the plastic chairs in the room. What upsets me is while this is the situation a guy working at Lancet comes and speaks to the same nurse to have bloods for someone he knew who drove by himself in a bakkie and was waiting outside the blood room. This guy gave the nurse cash and she went and got the swabs and did the test for him outside and he left. I am aware of what goes on but some humanity should be shown when someone is in a really bad state and you still make them wait hours uncomfortably while you do the job for a perfectly "fit" guy. I approached the nurse as there was no one else in the blood room and she insisted the guy is a "doctor" and came as a request from City Hospital. So this " doctor" doesn't have medical aid and couldn't have done his test in the hospital or his rooms it seems. And in no way did this guy look like any kind of doctor. We appreciate the health care workers that work tirelessly during this pandemic but not all can be painted with the same brush, not all actually "CARE". It's yet another sad event witnessed by uncaring health "proffessionals". SAD
