Lancet does not know how to communicate

To my surprise in January 2018 i was notified by a legal company that i have an outstanding balance owed to Lancet for services. why is this a surprise? in October 2017 i was twice in the Lancet branch where the staff member assured me on both times my account is fully paid and even provided me with a print out to reflect that it is completely paid up. it seems that now i have an amount due, and it is with a legal team. what is more surprising is that not once over the last few months did Lancet even attempt to call me, too my surprise, i have finally received a postal account last week which sent via the post in November 2017. in this day and age, when we have everything digital Lancet decides to send a post? when they have my contact details home and cell, and email address. Thanks! now i must sort out the fact that my name is being reflected on my credit record for bad payment when in fact i was assured by Lancet my account is fully paid in October 2017.
