Lack of knowledge of staff of certain test

10/02/2016.<br> <br> Good day,<br> I needed to hand in a post-vasectomy test three months after a vasectomy.<br> The staff in Lancet depot at Linmed in Benoni referred me to another hospital and told me that I needed to make an appointment. <br> This did not make sense to me and I called Ampath laboratory who told me that no appointment is needed and just a specimen bottle needs to be submitted.<br> <br> Did the staff gave me incorrect information?<br> Why must a person go for a comprehensive test elsewhere for a sample where the cells are dead after this procedure.<br> <br> I had to pay Ampath cash as my medical aid only pays Lancet laboratories.
