LACK OF COMMUNICATION WHEN CALLING FOR BLOOD TESTS !!!!

We had to have blood tests done at Lancet Laboratories. We did the tests but then a month later we got a bill for over R11 500.00. At no stage are we advised by Lancet of the costs of the test and that it would be a huge amount of R15 000.00 When taking the tests we assume that the labaratory checks with the medical aid to ascertain what we will be covered for but none of this is communicated to us. I am deeply disappointed with how we are taken advantage of in the name of having signed the consent form to cover any costs that medical aid will not cover when we are not even notified of the costing or given the choice of the tests required. Furthermore, they refuse to change the rate from medical aid rate to cash rates and now you sit with a huge debt for blood tests and get messaged and called on a daily basis !! this is a clear *******, explotation and clear lack of consideration to ppls financial standings. If we were told the price of the tests and how much medical aid would cover, we could have gone back to the doctor to ascertain what tests are necessary and then proceeded but we were never given the choice and now we are expected to foot a bill.
