incorrect collections procedure

my medical aid paid only portion of my blood tests and there is a remaining balance which is due , which I have to settle and acknowledge that. I received an sms now . informing me that I am handed over!!!!! Firstly my anger is directed at the way the legal collections are handed, I am owing an amount of R780.00 I receive am sms saying R799.00 . Firstly what correct procedure was followed to inform me of the amount owning? there is an onus on lancet to send an letter/email and not straight hand the file over for collections and try to make easy quick money on legal fees.<br> They are ever too hasty to hand the file over without following the correct procedures, where is the proof of the letters or emails ,should there not be calls made to me to notify me of this or that the file is being handed over. I am absolutely appalled by the behaviour of lancet it is *********. Even attorneys and I am an attorney knows that every attempt needs to be made to contact and inform the client before handing the file over. i will not use their services again!!!!!!
