On 2017-06-12 my infant son was admitted into hospital and a urine sample was taken for testing at Lancet laboratories. The sample was spilt in transit and I am been billed R202.90 for EXTERNAL COURIER FEE. I have stated my objection to pay as it was not my fault the sample was spilt but Lancet laboratories refuses to accept my complaint and request I pay. I was only advised on 2017-08-08 that the sample had spilt and was advised to return to Lancet laboratories with another sample which I did on 2017-08-10. The costing of the tests taken is R9,676.10 and my medical aid only paid R4,476.40. I requested my gap cover to pay the difference of R5,199.70 but they cannot as my medical short falls are only paid for in hospital. I have called Lancet laboratories to explain but receive no joy as they refuse to take responsibility for the spilt sample taken 2017-06-12 . If the sample did not spill I would have not been requested to return with a second sample and my gap cover would have paid the short fall. Please help me and advise me accordingly.
