Billed twice for the same test

I received a Statement from Lancet for bloodwork done. On the statement one of the tests was charged twice. When I queried it with them I was simply told that the doctor had ticked the same box twice and that the same test had been done twice because of this. I have two issues with this statement. The form that the doctor completes has ONE box per test which can be ticked so how was he able to tick the same box TWICE??. And secondly how is this my problem and thus why should I be expected to pay for a mistake that either Lancet or the doctor made??

Hi Disema,
Since logging this complaint on Hellopeter. I have been called 3 times to say this is not Lancets responsibility and the Doctor is blamed.

I also received a call from Donovan who had been investigating the account. As well as communication from the Doctors rooms.

Communication between Lance and the Doctors rooms led to my being told that the lab had done the same test twice and that I would be credited for the additional charge.

This morning I got another call from Lancet. Stating that I owe the money as they have made no error.

Please sort this out!
