Account in arrears
i had tests done through Lancet Laboratories during last year October 2014, they messed up by not chasing this account with my medical aid, Medipos, and are now requesting I pay the amount. this is not my fault as when they requested Medipos to pay, my medical aid sent them a statement showing I had funds available and they needed to contact them. however, Michelle Lebooa **** to me saying Medipos informed her telephonically that I had no funds at that time. that is incorrect, I emailed Michelle numerous time requesting her to contact the medical aid, I cannot be responsible for Lancet staff not doing their job efficiently, and now they want to pass the buck to me since the medical aid does not want to pay as the account is very old. Lancet is trying to force me to pay this money, when it is not my fault. They are responsible for this issue, I am disgusted with their attitude and pathetic lies and excuses. Lancet should take the loss and not force customers to pay accounts that are not their fault and are so old.
We sincerely apologise for the manner in which we have handled your account and regret the inconvenience caused.
Our records indicate that we have initially submitted the account in the amount of R319.10. Further tests were done and the amount of R236.10 was added onto the bill.
Medipos then paid the original amount of R319.10 on 20 October 2014 and a further R38.90 (off the new bill of R236.10) a day thereafter. The reason for the unpaid portion was stated as \LIMIT\" insinuating that your limits were exceeded.
