Cologne Con-Salesman - Lancaster Hartzenberg

I recently ordered a cologne from Mr Lancaster Hartzenberg who is my former colleague. He sells perfumes , bags and clothes as a side hustle - as it is loosely called. I have bought his colognes in the past and they were delivered to me. I paid for the cologne and waited for the delivery and we agreed that I would pay for the delivery once he knows how much it is. A week went by and there was no delivery made. I enquired why the perfume was not delivered and he said the person who works with him had all the details and he doesn’t understand why it was not delivered.

He told me he would be In Johannesburg in the weekend and he would sort it out. I asked for an update on Monday but he didn’t respond. Monday evening I tried calling him three times but he ignored my calls. I sent him an sms asking that he should refund my money my money by no later than the next day (Tuesday). He still did not respond. Tuesday came and went without neither receipt of my money or the cologne.

This ******* took my money and did not deliver. Like I mentioned that he is my former colleague, he absconded from work and left with the company laptop. No one could get a hold of him for days until we looked into his personal file and got a hold of his mothers number as his next of kin. That is the only way he posted the laptop to the company after his mother spoke to him.

I regret that I tried to support a small business and I got ****med. I intend to take the matter further as people cannot get away with taking well earned money just because they can. This is theft and it should be dealt with.

I just wanted to alert possible victims of this so called business man who will gladly take your money and not deliver. He operated the business remotely and is based in Kiblerpark, the south of Johannesburg.
