Expensive Bed Sheets Don't Live up to Reputation

Late last year I bought an expensive set of Egyptian Cotton Sheets supp**** through Lala Linens. It was punted as a high quality, durable and long-lasting product. Two months ago I noticed an odd wear pattern in one spot on the fitted sheet. <br> <br> When I contacted Lala Linens initially they didn't respond at all. After my follow up email two weeks later they noted that because it was out of the 6 month warranty period and they had no other similar complaints they would not refund. They also suggested the damage was due to the way I launder my sheets. This is ridiculous as the rest of the set is fine and I have washed all my sheets the same way for years. I also have Egyptian cotton sheets from other sources I have washed with no problems. Nor are the sheets excessively used. They finally conceded to sell me a replacement for a discount but this is small comfortable given the fact that the set cost several thousand rands. Lala Linens went by the book but with such a high priced item of supposed good quality I would have expected better customer service to engender brand loyalty. Their attitude was unpleasant to say the least. This product is not worth the price or aggravation.
