Emergency Visit
I took my son to Netcare Kingsway on 11th Nov 2019. I was told that I would have to pay R850.00 for the on call Dr before my son could be seen and if he was not admitted that night I would have to pay R1 600.00 for the visit both of these amounts were paid. My son had x-rays, was given a cast type brace and an injection. I was contacted the following day and told that the brace was not included in the price and had to pay R170.00 for it which I paid. On the 20th Nov I received a call from Lake Smit and Partners and told that I had to pay just over R500.00 for the x-ray which I told them that I had already paid R1 600.00 for the visit and they should claim the monies from the hospital. I emailed the hospital as well asking them to sort out the account - ***. I got a call a week later and forwarded my email to customer service to ***. Heard nothing from either of these recipients. On the 13th Jan 2020 I received a call from Brett Samuels at the Lake Smit accounts head office department at which time I forwarded the emails previously sent. I received a reply from him saying that he had received my email and that was it or so I thought. On 21st Aug 2020 I received a SMS from Colmed and I phoned them and explained that I had paid R1600.00 and if it didn't cover the x-ray then what did it cover an injection??? I forwarded all the emails again and the only thing sorted out is that I have to contact the hospital again.
