Accounts Department - Useless!!!!

Their accounts department does the worst job at reconciling their statements. In June they had sent through a statement advising that we owe them R4000 which was paid immediately. After requesting an updated statement for the gap cover claim we see that there was actually no need for the member to have made a payment. We had been making calls to both Lake Smit as well as Medical Aid to resolve this matter as the statement which was sent does not make any sense. Amounts do not match and payments have not been allocated correctly. After speaking to a consultant today, I informed her that i am requesting a refund to which she had given me the email address but their system only allows them to make refunds once a week and it will take about a week for this to be paid. Its so ridiculous that when they weren't paid i was bombarded with statements but now when its time (nearly 2 months later) for them to pay me, i am told that i must wait a week, Absolutely pathetic service from their accounts department. They will sit with money which does not belong to them but will hound you when they want money.
