Laerskool Pierneef

I am writing to express my concerns about the treatment my child has received at L/S Pierneef. My child has been attending the school since Grade R and has faced ongoing issues with bullying. Despite bringing this matter to the school's attention on multiple occasions, no meaningful action was taken to resolve it.

To help him cope, we taught him to stand up for himself. However, I was recently contacted by the school regarding his behavior, and during our discussion, I was informed that the school believes my child has a "problem." They suggested evaluations and proposed medication for him.

It is important to note that my child is six years old, has ADHD, and exhibits signs of autism. While I am open to professional evaluations, I do not believe that medicating him at such a young age is in his best interest. When I expressed my concerns and declined the proposed course of action, I was disheartened to learn that the school escalated the matter to child services.

This experience has been extremely distressing for my family, and I urge parents to carefully consider their options when choosing a school, especially if they are unfami**** with the area.

I hope this feedback helps improve the way the school addresses bullying and communicates with parents about sensitive matters.
