Worse KunsteFees

Laerskool Anton Van Wouw had a kunstefees on 16 and 17 September which was their 1st festival. I was a stall holder and it was a utter diaster with no adult feet coming through. So NO sales for the stall holders. With stall holders paying a ridiculous amount of R600 would expect the school to make sure the feet are coming through especially through the market to create sales.

They say their was 1000 tickets sold but out of that 1000 there was hardly any adults.

The school shouldnt charge such a high rate if they cant ensure the stall holders to get sales. And that was not only my stall but a number stalls.

Which is evident by the stall holders packing up early on both days.

I personally made not even 1 sale therefore lost R600 on the worse festival i have ever attended.

I feel they used the stallholders to get the R600 in order to pay for those kids carnival rides where the kids went to and not to come to the market.

When asked for refund i was told they sold 1000 tickets and cant give refund. But if they sold 1000 tickets were was the people as clearly the whole time i was there, there was definitely not those number of feet coming or coming through the stalls especially adults who has the money to spend, it was just kids. Such as on friday parents dropped their kids off and left. So no adults coming to market to buy products.

Another downfall was the entrance price of R100. A adult wont pay R100 to just go walk around a school if their kid is not participate in the performances.

Also there was absolute NO advertising. Outside on the main roads. When asked about advertising it was told they advertised at another school close to them and boards around the school. That is definitely not appropriate advertising for a festival especially to ensure adults come.

There was NOT even a sign by the main road at robot that festival up thay road. Such BAD ADVERTISING.

My best advice to everyone out there is to NOT support any of this schools festivals as they are a waste of time and just want to take peoples money and dont want to accept the consequences of a failed festival where provide a refund or part refund for their unorganised event and failed event.

Very disappointed with this school and their event.
