Bridal Nightmare

A Brides Worst Nightmare! Today I share with all the brides to be an experience no-one should ever endure.... Lady Marmalaide - Monte Casino, Parkhurst, or wherever they say they are is a complete and utter hoax. We arranged an appointment on the 17th June 2017 with great excitement to choose the gown of my daughters dreams... We chose the dress, paid in full (due to the exchange rate) and were told the dress would arrive within 4/6 months. I was contacted to inform me the dress had arrived but did not want to do a fitting due to my daughter being on a diet and would loose more weight so we thought we would go for the fitting in the new year. I googled the telephone number for the Parkhurst shop and the number did not exist. I then searched for a cellphone number......which I found and got hold of a Lani. She informed me that the alterations lady was only back the following Monday but would look in her appointment book to book the fitting in January 2018. I found it funny that she requested the name of the dress and brides name? I then started whatsapping her "is there any news on the fitting date?". She apologized in a whatsapp and asked if the following Tueday 15th at 1.30pm would work? I asked for a Pin location for the new premises. Nothing. She then asked if we could move the appointment to the Wednesday afternoon as she had a crisis. I rep**** that this would not work as we had taken off work, travelled far (from Mpumalanga) and had to be back the Wednesday. She apologized and said there had been a human error and there was no dress but she had sourced a new one from her supplier and that she would meet us at the fitting lady at 10.30am on Wednesday but she had to get to Pretoria to collect the new dress before meeting us. Well the pin drop she sent me was meant to be at the alterations lady's studio however, we arrived at the location and it was an empty house being renovated and no-one there....15min later she arrived and we spoke in the street. She then informed us that there was still no dress as the dress she went to fetch was a different color. I insisted on getting the suppliers contact details then and there....standing in the street and contacted the supplier. Off we went to Pretoria and met up with the supplier who informed us she did not give the dress to her as it was not paid for and the original dress was never ordered. All I can say is thank-you to Timeless Bridal Couture who have bent over backward to assist us with her dress. At the end of the day we have now had to pay for 2 dresses at a great expense and I would not want this to happen to any other bride in the future. Please just be aware they are still advertising.
