Old goods, broken ******s and client victimisation

The service was so terrible at La Rochelle that this is my 2nd complaint and I could write tons more. I can't stress this enough, if you're thinking of staying a La Rochelle...DON'T! We had an incident 2 days before leaving where one of the helpers 'tested' the ****** while she was cleaning. This ****** was old as hell and we hadn't used it during our stay, we were told the broken ****** cost would be deducted out of our deposit. We obviously contested this, told them that even if it was broken, it was probably from general wear and tear, these things arent built to last. The helpers verbally attacked us, told us we were being 'typical blacks' and that it's why she prefers to only deal with white people. We asked to speak to the manager, she refused. In the end it turns out the ****** wasn't brokn, it malfunctioned because they bang it on hard surfaces when they clean it, it need tightening. There was no apology. It took them 3 hours to clean that day, checking everything to make sure it's fine. The positive side was they cleaned better that day than they had on previous occassions, we used to come back to find the place dusty and dry towels in the livingroom instead of bathroom.
