La Parada Melrose Arch - Disappointing Debut

I visited this evening Monday 25th September 2023 for the first time. I ordered the Tuna Sishimi Salad Nicoise. No salad - except 3 minute leaves set into the wall of the barely cooked tuna. A sliver of ******. Not what I ordered. The Manager agreed to exchange it for the prawn pasta. Rarely have I seen unshelled prawns with heads and tails immersed in a pasta sauce dish. The pasta was nice. The prawns needed to be separated from within the pasta and in shelled. I complained. The Manager said ‘this is how we serve it’, took it away and then proceeded to charge me full price! R200. Further complaint got me someone else and a meagre 10% discount. At least the R20 paid for half of my chicken strips at McDonalds! Not at all impressed.
