Pathetic service followed by a more than pathetic meal

The menu is very impressive and the restaurant surely has potential. nothing like it in Rustenburg. Sadly, hygienne standards are lacking badly. We got presented with a wine list of which every one of the pages were stuck together with old food and peces of used serviettes. We should have left at this point but, as we drove 50km to get there, we decided to order. A simple Chicken Prego and Jalapeno burger took 55 minutes to arrive. No visit by a manager or owner during our wait at all. Unfortunately the meal was pathetic, to say the least, my roll was completely stale, accompanied by round chips that were drenched in oil. The Jalapeno burger was out of a Daulty Towers episode, the roll was deep fried, for what reason in the world I do not know. To crown it, it was not crispy but soggy and drenched in very stale cooking oil. not edible at all. We pushed the meal aside and, without an apology, or offer to replace it, by the waiter we were presented with a bill. We paid and left. Upon exit we passed the owner's table so I shared my opinion of the experience with her. Her response was "Why didn't you call me" I ask myself, "isn't she in the HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY?" you should be around your patrons so you can rectify these problems before they arise.
