Bad Management s****s B&B

La Montagne B&B Riebeek-Kasteel - Arrived at B&B @ 4.15pm 20th December 2018 - no welcome manager or persons to be seen upon arrival to check us in, and this is meant to be a 3 Star B&B. Phoned number on front door to be told our key was under a couch outside back of the accommodation. Never met any manager/owner at all over the two days, believe he lives in Cape Town and has a stand in day assistant, temporary person over seeing the daily c****s for a few hours a day. Never got the room I originally booked and paid the deposit for in February 2018 t, only to be told room had been double booked in October this year. Finally managed to get my original room on the second night, unfortunately stank of a leaky toilet pipe. It is my impression that there should be a live in Manager/owner on the premises at all times, especially in case of an emergency. Phoned the owner upon my return from holiday and brought my concerns forward, he was not interested in my complaint and felt that all his previous and repeat guests never had a problem. I highly recommend that he either sell the place or hand it over to some one that has either People Relation/Hotel management s****s. If not, then turn it into a self catering units and then leave the keys in the post box. We definitely will not be back, *0* rating from both hubby and myself.
