Sad experience at La Montagne hartebeesport

<p>I booked a cabin at La Montagne in Hartebeesport. At the time I didn't know it was the Honeymoon suit. Once I found out, I was quite excited. Now however, I'm really glad that it was not my actual honeymoon.</p> <p>On arrival the bathtub in the room was messed with lizzard droppings. The hot water didn't work and the heater function if the aircon did not work either. How then was any couple supposed to have a "honeymoon" in that? Especially with a cold front. Surely before you have guests you should check that everything works?</p> <p>On the Saturday, after complaining to Liezelle with no apologies, we were asked to shower in another suite while they fixed the problems. We were now unable to use our room and after being tired of sitting out in the cold, we decided to leave to another place more welcoming.</p> <p>On our way back we had a burst tyre, about a km away from the guest lodge. After having called AA and waiting for 2 hours in the dark, we called the guesthouse hoping they could send someone to help us. <br />Not sure why we expected more. They sent us an sms to say they can't help. No phone call to see if we were ok. Nothing. Hospitality at that guesthouse clearly lacks. And it is in no way a 4 star rating.</p> <p>Throughly disappointed.</p> <p>We managed to put our car on a towtruck and get a lift back to the lodge and leave the same night. Who would want to stay in a place that never made you feel welcome after that ordeal?</p> <p>They didn't even apologise for the horrible experience we had at the guesthouse. Mind you the water in the other suite wasn't hot either. We had to open the cold water tap for hot water.</p> <p>We even paid full price for both nights not even being able to use our room for the second day as they were busy fixing things and didn't even give us another room to stay in the mean time.</p> <p>Really not worth 4 starts and will be reporting it. Waste of money and has destroyed the Hartees experience for me. </p>
