Out of Hospital PMB Application

<p>Its been exactly 1 month since i have submitted PMB application forms to LA Health (Discovery) , for my 6 month old baby, who is now 7 months old already, with severe allergies and major skin conditions that i causing my poor baby lots of discomfort and she is constantly sick and congested, due to her allergies and needs to be put on an expensive formula that will cost over R4000 per month, which i cannot afford, the paediatrician completed the forms, and it was submitted, more than a week later, Discovery comes back and requests us to see a dietician and they tell us what info is required, we spent money to see one and he has provided them with all the info they requested, only for them to come back to us to tell us they request more info from the dietician, I have then sent the PMB dept. an email expressing my dissapointment and disgust, uo until today....no response from them. The dietician has then provided them with the extra info requested, and yesterday when i called the excuse for a Medical Aid, they only inform me (2weeks later) that the extra info the dietician provided is still not enough. Meanwhile my baby is suffering and they just can't care, i am beyond disgusted, and each time I call they say that there is no one in the PMB dept. i can speak to, which is even more frustrating, as i now can't speak to the idiots who are causing all these delays, I was called last week Tuesday, June 27th to say that they recevied all the info and i will have an answer by Friday 30 June, its July 4th today and still nothing, if i hadn't called them yesterday i wouldn't even know about the extra info they require once again, as they don't update the client or bother to inform you about the progress, i was told on the Tuesday 27th when I received the call that it was escalated to the clinical dept. but yesterday I was told it only reached that dept. the Thursday 29th June, and I only received a call back, after a huge scene was made, otherwise no one would have ever come back to me. We are talking about a little babys health, but as a medical aid scheme they dont seem to care about the health of a tiny baby, I am positive they are doing this to delay the process on purpose. All the years i hear people complaining about Discovery and now i finally see why. There are no words to describe how i feel and how disgusted I am.</p>
