DO NOT USE LA HEALTH ACTIVE MEDICAL AID

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with LA Health Medical Aid regarding the recent changes to the over-the-counter (OTC) benefits. As a working parent of two young children, access to basic medication like Panado, teething gels, diaper rash creams, and flu treatments is essential to manage everyday health issues at home. These are not luxuries—they are necessities for any family with young children. This change does not reflect a patient-centered or family-friendly approach to healthcare. Instead, it creates barriers, increases costs, and makes it harder for members to manage their health effectively. Medical aid is supposed to provide support and peace of mind. With this policy, I feel neither supported nor cared for. LA Health needs to urgently reconsider this decision and the money they allocated for a family.
