LA FORMAGGIO BE AWARE !!!!

So this is just a short story about a horror of a complex named La Formaggio in Benoni, they also go by the name Golden Quilts. I feel it is fair for any future tenants to be completely aware of what is going on there. The owners (whom I won't name on the post) seem very friendly at first but once it is time to move they become your worst nightmare. Worst of all the main owner has a disibility and im sure he is now using it to his advantage to manipulate people to feel bad for him.

So it begins, myself and my partner rented Unit 1 there for 2years & 8months, when we first moved in there were some maintenance issues like painting not being completed, etc. We moved in exactly the day lockdown started so we were understanding about this & they advised that this will be completed once we could continue to the norm. Not surprisingly it was not. We have proven emails that all maintenance queries were ignored which I have included here. Tenants are being treated like they live rent free (like some shuttle I would say). Anyway long story short, when time came to move the landlords insisted that we repaint the complete place due to some nails in the walls (which we closed on departure by the way), he instructed us that we were only allowed to use his painter and we can only buy the paint where he buys it. Putting all aside we used our own money & petrol to buy paint which was at the end not good enough for them. Our deposit was supposed to be paid in by 15 December 2022 (according to our legal contract) but we only received the POP on 21 December 2022, they had the audacity to deduct R3 400.00 from our deposit which I have also posted here due to cleaning & a whole lot of other bull#$% which was not even discussed with us. We moved out on 24 November 2022 & arranged with our trusted cleaning lady to clean out the complete place on 23 November 2022 (You would think that its possible for a place to get a bit dusty after standing) But this was not good enough for them.

I dont want to make this a too long story so I have posted all emails where they communicated with us like we are dogs, these people have no human decency & wont hesitate to take the last of you once out. There are currently new tenants that moved in & I hope that they can come accross this & if not everyone considering them in future please do think twice.

They are also nowhere to be found, no social media, etc. And I now see the reason for this.

I hope this can give a voice to all tenants who have had similar issues & did not know how to deal with it as this is happening more often than people would like to admit.
