Shocking condition of Giants Castle rest camp and it's facilities - STAY AWAY!!!!!

After recently returning from a hike in the Giants Castle area, 4 of us booked 2 chalets for our last nights stay. There was a problem with the water. It was brown and oily, lukewarm and barely anything came out the tap. After phoning and complaining they moved us to another chalet where the same problem presented itself. Paying nearly R2k per night for 2 people, this is not acceptable.

The restcamp is in a seriously dilapidated state with everything falling apart. Tiles are cracked, there are holes in the walls with cracks everywhere, water problems with paint coming off, grass roofs have holes in etc.

I've contacted customer care (Xoli Ngema, manager of Customer Care hasn't answered any of my calls or responded to my messages or to any of the 6 emails I sent her) with zero response. I've alse sent 3 emails to Nozipho Sibeko (camp manager) in this regard, still awaiting for her feedback.

This was our first ever stay at Giants Castle camp. After this experience, it will also be our last. Fortunately there are numerous private accomodation options available close by, which I will be supporting in the future. I vote with my money, and my money will be spent where people value my business.
