Seeking Assistance from the Public due to incompetance with the Law in South Africa

I was walking along the pavement on Waterkant Road, Durban North, at 6am on 22 September 2012. I remember tying the laces on my running shoes, thereafter only recall waking up, after 2 weeks, in the Umhlanga Hospital intensive care, with multiple injuries. No thanks to an Indian youth, driving a 328i BMW, who admitted to being 4 times over the alcohol limit, speeding and negligent, thereby spending 79 days in the hospital. This youth was fine R2500, and a slap on the wrist. It took me just over 5 years to run/walk again, having completed 9 Comrade, needing 1 more to obtain my 10th Green Number and medal. This is to serve and a reminder how ******* the law is in South Africa, especially as a victim, when something so ********** occurs and you require support from the justice system A legal acquaintance contacted an advocate to apply for a review in the high court, to set an example to drunk drivers. This advocate had no chambers to interview and question me, 30 minutes later charged a fee of R15,000, and later fleeced me for an additional R17,000. Being an advocate in the Durban North area, any meeting was set up at Chateaux Gateaux in Durban North. Having had no feedback, except promises in the beginning to set up a High Court date to review this case, I then contacted the Legal Practice Council in PMB, that deals with ******* and unsatisfactory legal cases. It has been well over 9 months and I am still awaiting response on the status of this complaint of the appalling behavior of an advocate, from the Council, stalling and seems to be condoning this behavior of the advocate. Please be aware when researching legal assistance as it seems some of them have no conscience and disappear with your hard earned cash. SEEKING SUPPORT form the public: Surely as runners, cyclists and pedestrians, who have every right to the road, where drunk and bad drivers are getting away with ******, and no help from our Legal Services in South Africa.
