MilkoPup Puppy Milk Replacement *ROTTEN*
These pictures were taken on 14 February 2021. It was an accident that I checked the bottom of the bottle and then I noticed the black dots (mold) and the white layer of whatever that is that the puppy milk formed.
I thought that I may have not cleaned the bottle properly and I threw it out, washed and rinsed the bottle properly and then I let it sit for about 5 minutes - the mold and white layer formed again....
At about 8pm we rushed to another foster and she gave us some milk... These puppies were a week old and have missed several feedings because of this.
We took a brand new bottle, made another batch and we let it stand for 15 minutes, then these pictures were taken...
That next week (the week of the 15th of February) a rep came to fetch the product for testing and two weeks later still no results from the testing.
In the meantime, this product and batch is still being sold at various outlets.
Luckily our puppies were strong puppies and because we noticed early, they are still going strong after switching over to Royal Canin Puppy Starter Milk.
UNFORTUNATELY, that same week a poor mother had an emergency c-section with very susceptible puppies... These puppies did not make it as their immune systems were already low. And their poor weak bodies had to fight rotten milk... A bunch* of puppies were lost and the cause of death was bloating due to gas in the stomach.... Mold causes gas...
I hope that this reaches the correct channels and IMMEDIATE action is taken to resolve this and RECALL all MILKOPUP replacement milk from that specific batch.
I strongly suggest that any other fosters currently switch over to Royal Canin until this is resolved.
Should I not receive adequate feedback or lab results within 24 hours, I will make it my mission to post and send this too as many foster parents as I can. I will also inform various outlets of this and make it my mission to assist them in sending these products back for FULL REFUNDS.
No amount of money is more important that a puppies life.
