Beware of Kyocera contracts

We needed a new photo copier, and received quotations from all the companies.<br> Its a very competitive industry.<br> We decided on Kyocera, mainly because the Rep was friendly and professional.<br> The contract as explained to us, was a monthly hire fee, including toner and 2000 copies, thereafter we were charged 8c plus vat per copy. We were happy with the terms explained to us.<br> <br> We are about 9 months into our 24 month contract, previously toner was delivered and replaced before toner ran out. The toner is now running out, and Kyocera are now refusing to send more toner unless we pay R1261.98 for the toner. Kyocera are claiming we are using too much toner. Kyocera are now throwing technical jargon at us, saying its no longer profitable for them. We did sign the contract, which contains fine print, as all contracts do, however this toner percentage was never explained to us. Kyocera were fully aware of the nature of our business, as we discussed our needs before agreeing to a contract. We feel Kyocera has acted in bad faith, and left us with very few choices. Kyocera have put us between a rock and a hard place. We need a copier to run our business, and no longer have toner to copy.<br>
