Unprofessional management and sub standard mechanical work

Good day. My name is Clive Peters. I would like to log a complaint about sub standard mechanical and auto electrical repairs, as well as unsatisfactory and disrespectful behaviour by Juan manager at kwikfit Brackenfell.

I have been taking my Renault scenic to this franchise for the past 3 years for various repairs and or replacement of mechanical and auto electrical work. At first it seemed as though I could trust them to do a decent job of repairing my vehicle. As time went on their service and quality started to drop exponentially. About a month ago May 2019 I took my to them to repair an idling problem, they serviced the car, replace coil packs, replaced one spark plug, costs in access of R2000 . The idling problem remained unresolved, I returned the vehicle to them to sort out the problem, without consulting me they removed the catalytic converter and told me to drive the car "Hard" to remove obstacles from the system. This was done to no avail. I again returned to them after sorting a second opinion from another source that told me that the number 4 valve was wet with oil, thus possibly causing the idling problem. Kwikfit informed me that the must remove the cylinder head and repair the damage at a further cost of R10 000 . I had no alternative but to pay . After about 3 weeks they told me that the car is ready for collection, I paid the R10.000 and collected the car. 3 days later I filled up with fuel and checked the oil level, the level was almost empty, I topped up the oil and immediately contacted kwikfit to report the low level. I was requested to bring the car back, which I did. They called me to collect the car and said they could not find any leaks and offered me an explanation that older cars tend to use more oil then newer cars. When I questioned the fact that no car should be almost empty of oil 3 days after you repaired it, they started to become unprofessional and confrontational. I tried speaking to Juan, he arrogantly told that he doesn't speak to people that pull their cars onto his workshop floor. I politely removed my car and returned to speak to Antoinette to inform her that the car is still using an exorbitant amount of oil. The again checked and to this day maintain that they cannot find any leaks or reason for the excessive oil usage. I would like to bring this complaint to the actual owners of this business (whom I don't know) to inform them of this unacceptable behaviour of their management, and also to be refunded the R10.000 I paid for frankly a backyard mechanical job. Thanks Clive Peters.
