K way fault shoes

Hi I bought a k way boot for my husband last year August and it's 10 months later and the shoe is faulty. I took the shoe to the store and I was told the best they can do is repair it and it will take 4-6 weeks. I called the head office and they advise there is nothing they can do about it. If it was a bought of R80 I would understand that it would break quick but it was not. I was told K way is the best brand to go for and to get quality out of it but I'm sorry I don't think so. I told the lady of the phone to most strenuous thing my husband does with his shoes is climb up a ladder and for the " so called quality boot" to be faulty at such early days is questionable. I would have understood is he was working in the mountain daily for it to break but he does not. I would like someone at head office to call me and give me a reasonable solution to my problem.
