Day Light *******
On the 7th of August 2019, I requested a quote for the 9th of August till the 11th. I was quoted R550 for two nights and a deposit of R275 was requested. I paid a full amount of R550 and Friday night I slept by the lodge with no problem. Saturday morning I was told by the receptionist that I have to pay another R550 for the night. I told the lady I was quoted R550 for two night and the lady said there's an outstanding amount of R550 that has to be paid but she couldn't provide me with a proof.
She insisted that I should pay the balance or else I should leave. I told her she'd should atleast apologies to me for the error that was made by whoever quoted me rather than insisting that I pay the R550 and told her to show humanity, I am willing to pay portion of that R550 but can't they meet me halfway.
She went out to speak to the business owner who stays in the premises and the response I got was I should pay or leave the premises as they are running business and if I have any queries I should take it up with the agent of sleep-out.
I find it unprofessional for the business owner to tell me he is running business instead of trying to figure out how to resolve the matter. He wasn't even having the guts to face me and hear me out but he was using the receptionist as a messenger to pass the message across.
To me this was a day light ******* and I feel that I deserve a full refund of R550 that I made because of I was stranded and left with no choice. I had all the proof of the quote request, proof of payment and acceptance of confirmation of the accommodation. There's no proof of the any outstanding amount that I was forced to pay and I feel that the owner has ****** me day light
I
