Hello there.

I was resigned from my previous employer in may, so I was asked to fill up my provident funds forms. I exactly that and I submitted them on the 2nd of June 2016, from that date according to me there should have been captured and sent to Alexander Forbes only to realise in July 2016 that there were only captured on the 4th July 2016.

Meaning from the date I handed in those forms to my employer nothing was done to them.

I further more started doing follow ups and the last person I spoke to from my previous employer said by the 22 August 2016 I would have got my money and before that Alexander Forbes must have called me to verify everything with me.

According to the procedure of provident funds the waiting period is between 6-8 weeks, I have been waiting since June till to date . On the 23rd August 2016 I called the HR input and spoke to the lady responsible for the paperwork, she promised to get back to me as she was doing a follow up, and surprisingly she never contacted me .

I called again the 25th August 2016 and her response was to get back to me by the end of the day, but still nothing. I called her again on the 26th of August 2016 and I was shocked to learn that my papers were never captured, apparently the person who is supposed to be dealing with my forms was hospitalised.

My query now is, how does one being in hospital affect my money? Since June nothing was done and only when I start doing follow ups that's when I'm being told all these. Now I can't afford to wait another 8 weeks because I really need that money, it's been long and I'm suffering because of their laziness to provide the best service to their previous employees.

And to think that I have to do the calling , all the time meaning chances of them lying to me are very high.

Please assist me
