Zero stars for Kulula.com
I'd honestly go with zero stars if it was an option.
Flights from JHB to CPT in September 2019 purchased for an amount of R1500 in May 2019, deciding I am unable to fly in September I moved the trip to November 2019. I contacted Kulula's call centre on the 27th of August for a quote to change flights. A reasonable amount of R800 was supp**** by the agent. Once calling again, and extremely arrogant and unempathetic call centre agent supp**** a new quote of R3800 to move flights. Looking at Kulula's website, the EXACT flights I wanted cost a mere R1400. A supervisor from the call centre by the name of Laykn, attempted to explain how moving flights have an initial cost to move (which I understand and was happy to pay) but there was a fare difference of approximately R3000. How is there a fare difference of R3000 if I can buy the tickets for R1400, and initially paid R1500?
Kulula is completely incapable of explaining this phenomenon. The best course of action is for me to totally abandon my tickets for September and purchase entirely new tickets for November. How in 2019, can a company be so inflexible? They then offered to cancel my tickets with a refund of R230 (out of an original R1500). Excuse me? Then you're going to sell my empty seat to someone else at full price and make even more money? No thanks, keep your horrific excuse of a refund and your pathetic complaint resolution process which to me seemed totally non-existent.
I've personally been flying Kulula for a very long time but you won't be seeing my face ever again. If I provided service like this to my customers, I WOULD BE WITHOUT A JOB. Catch a wake up Kulula.
I'd honestly go with zero stars if it was an option.
Flights from JHB to CPT in September purchased for an amount of one thousand five hundred rand in May, deciding I am unable to fly in September I moved the trip to November. I contacted Kulula's call centre in August for a quote to change flights. A reasonable amount of eight hundred rand was supp**** by the agent. Once calling again, and extremely arrogant and unempathetic call centre agent supp**** a new quote of three thousand eight hundred rand to move flights. Looking at Kulula's website, the EXACT flights I wanted cost a mere one thousand four hundred rand. A supervisor from the call centre by the name of Laykn, attempted to explain how moving flights have an initial cost to move (which I understand and was happy to pay) but there was a fare difference of approximately three thousand rand. How is there a fare difference of three thousand rand if I can buy the tickets for one thousand four hundred rand, and initially paid one thousand five hundred rand?
Kulula is completely incapable of explaining this phenomenon. The best course of action is for me to totally abandon my tickets for September and purchase entirely new tickets for November. How in twenty nineteen, can a company be so inflexible? They then offered to cancel my tickets with a refund of two hundred and thirty (out of an original one thousand five hundred). Excuse me? Then you're going to sell my empty seat to someone else at full price and make even more money? No thanks, keep your horrific excuse of a refund and your pathetic complaint resolution process which to me seemed totally non-existent.
