Unhelpful staff

<p>I called the call centre to inquire about having a lap child but was told because my daughter is over 2 I have to purchase a ticket for her. I advised the agent that she is 2 and a half years old and its her first time flying and she will be scared and cry. The agent said I can carry her but will still have to purchase a ticket. Why should I purchase a ticket for her if she will not sit in her seat. I asked if I could speak to a manager but she said I would be told the same thing.</p> <p>I think its unfair as she hasn't flown before and it will be difficult to distract her. I'm sure there is someone at Kulula that help me and make a decision about allowing her to be a lap child without having to purchase a ticket. We are flying at the end of June from Durban to Johannesburg. It is just a day trip and we will fly back in the afternoon.</p> <p> </p>
