********* Pricing Tactics

I was in the process of booking a local flight for myself and was comparing various options across and within the same airline group. I spent over a half hour on Kulula exploring various days and times, and repeating searches on multiple occasions. I then noticed that the ticket prices I originally came across started increasing, leading me to believe these were sold. It distressed me that I missed out on the cheaper flight. I expressed this to my colleague who advised me not to stress as he was aware of companies monitoring the cookies in our browser and use this to check behaviour. In this instance, it is monitored and when it picks up that I am looking for a better deal, the proce starts to escalate, putting pressure on me to purchase. He proved this by him logging in to Kulula at the same time from his browser, and miraculously, he could see cheaper tickets available. I closed my browser and searched again on Kulula, and I still did not see the cheaper flight availability. Come on Kulula, this is an absolutely ********* and shameful practice.
