Theft from Luggage

Returning from an overseas trip I had theft from my bag on a flight from JHB to George. The items were sunglasses (prescription), hard drive and motorcycle toolkit. I have reported the incident but I have had no feedback regarding an investigation and nothing with regard to compensation for my loss for my goods that were entrusted into their care. I carry no insurance and find it unacceptable that they have no liability or responsibility for my loss!
