I am absolutely aggrieved by a rather unfounded accusation by a patronising and grumpy check in counter agent Carmelle Chetty. Firstly her attitude (to us at least) was not what we are accustomed to with Kulula staff who are generally well mannered. This is the cornerstone of dealing with weary travellers. We were up since 3:30 getting three kids ready for this flight (mn 636 dbn to jhb 2015-07-19). The conversation started out well, until we were over weight by 3kgs. I then requested jokingly that surely an agent could allow some leeway as was done on my inbound flight. At this stage Carmelle stated \you knew about the rules and should have enforced it better". I take great offense to this as it came across and patronising. I do not have a scale. We left behind some items whilst in durban and the bag felt less than 20kg - I understand the rules and agreed to pay. But surely a statement like that to weary travellers at 5:40am is not on! The worst part was that maintained her stance and didn't even consider apologising. I am a loyal kulula fan and use it for both business and pleasure. That was the past. I cannot tolerate such in front of my family."""
