Rude Cabin crew - MN513 - 28/09/2019 @18H35
My father Mr AJ Moller was on a flight Saturday, 28/09/2019, with Kulula and the flight number was MN513. The flight was from Lanseria to Durban and they landed 18:35. When they left at Lanseria both the doors were open for passengers to get on.
First off I would like to say that you need to change your commentary over the plane, as you pride yourself at being the “BEST LOCAL AIRLINE” but that is a complete lie. When the pilot was speaking my father was unable to hear anything as there was a problem with the clarity of the message. Unsure if it was a technical issue, my father called an Asian gentleman who was part of the cabin crew to advise him that nothing could have been heard. This was completely ignored. A second time around my father told the same gentleman but to no avail.
Upon landing at King Shaka International airport, only one door was opened in the front of the plane. My father was seated right at the back of the plane. No one advised that the back door was not opened and after waiting 15 minutes, he decided to ask what the problem was as no one was moving. By now the plane has become very hot and stuffy. The same Asian gentleman of earlier was so terribly rude and just pointed my father to the front of the plan and said, “There is the exit – GO, GO”. Now this is unacceptable as an announcement could have been made that only the front doors will be open. But to leave passengers standing for 15 minutes before being rude and abrupt is not called for.
If you pride yourself if being the best local airline, maybe you need to jack up your cabin staff’s people and communication s****s. There was no reason to speak to my father like he was a piece of dirt. He paid just as much as the following person to be on your flight and did not deserve to be treated like that. This has definitely been a very unpleasant experience for him. I would like to know what action is going to be taken with the gentleman that was so very rude, as I personally feel he needs to be sent for training again.
Greetings, Monica Barnard (daughter of Mr Andries J Moller)
