**********

Hi,

Last week Thursday morning I was trying to book a flight to DNB from OR Tambo for my girlfriend on the same day at the Computicket Sales counter in Checkers Greenstone Shopping centre. At 9:05 in the morning I was quoted R667 for an airline ticke via Kulula. I was quite happy to pay the price and agreed to purchase the ticket at this price. then once the Teller captured all my girlfriends details and I was ready to pay the prices was then suddenly changed to R997. Apparently all the prices changed while the lady over the counter was capturing the required information.

This is akin to thievery in my opinion. I was offerred a ticket at one price. I agreed to this price and then to be told 5 minutes later the price has increased by almost 50%.

In the end I had to pay the higher price for the flight. It would have been fine if I had never seen the other price. I am aware that prices fluctuate and they do change all the time but I was shown a screen with a price option which I agreed to only to be told a few minutes later after caputring information to process the sale at the agreed price that "oh no sorry the price has gone up" .

I paid the price but would have expected a corporate to honour the price that they quote the consumer. not to go and increase it by almost 50% in a matter of seconds. rather disappointing.

I am though not sure if the problem lies with Kulula or Computicket. But I just felt like sharing my story as to how in a matter of seconds after agreeing to a purchase at a specific price the price is then increased by close to 50%. Doesn't seem fair to me. Especially if I agreed to the price that was shown to me for the airline ticket. If I had gone away to think about it and then comeback it would be fine if the price changed. That I can understand. But why offer me one price and then while you collect information from me to conclude the agreed sale you go and increase the price by a m***ive margin. I don't think this is very cool

Good Morning Jonathan

hank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you whilst using our services.

Unfortunately I cannot answer on behalf of Computicket. All our fares are subject to availability at the time of booking and not all fares are the same. When a fare is quoted and not booked, it is also subject to availability. There are numerous ways of booking and therefore fares are sold out very quickly.

There are times when a booking takes too long to be confirmed and will therefore timeout and allow other travel bookers to grab the fare. I suspect that this was the case as you mentioned you were told 5mins later that the fares had changed.

Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to explain.

Kind Regards,

Nazley – CR

Best regards,

JS
